This involves the new building of a kiosk in the centre of Arnhem. This is an oval building surrounded by timber slats, a glass facade and a large overhang at the front. In bad weather, large transparent curtains can be pushed out on rails through the side doors beneath the canopy. Particular attention was devoted to the use of sustainable materials such as LED lighting and a sedum roof covering. The building has an all-round attractive appearance, both during the day and at night, and has a very positive effect on the square in which the kiosk stands. In 2014, Kees Marcelis won the De Heuvelink public prize for the kiosk in Arnhem. This project was completed in 2013.
