The GGZ (Mental Health Care Sector) of the future requires a new approach. More care must be delivered by fewer people, and increasingly in an ambulant setting. Vincent van Gogh (VvG), the largest mental health care provider in North and Central Limburg, are preparing for this scenario and have developed a new strategic direction in anticipation. The Kees Marcelis Studio in Amsterdam and WDE Ontwikkelend Beheer were asked to design and carry out the conversion for the redecoration of Building A, the Chapel (national heritage site) in the grounds of Vincent van Gogh. It involves 120 work stations (based on the concept of new working) with meeting/conference and treatment rooms and catering facilities: a project in which innovation and sustainability play a significant role. The conversion was started in March 2015.
