This involves the conversion of a long, narrow space into a restaurant. Using simple means, this old property was converted into the trendy hamburger restaurant Wally in Nijmegen. A poured floor has been combined with a wooden floor which runs through into the wall and ceiling with, on the opposite side, a sleek tiled bar and open kitchen. The unpretentious tables, chairs and barstools were specially designed for Wally by Studio Kees Marcelis. This restaurant emanates the power of simplicity just as its products do and it is definitely worth a visit so you can sample them for yourself!
